  Well, if the Sun could be extinguished without losing much mass, our orbit would remain the same. In fact, as it is the Sun is slowly evaporating, losing mass while our orbit gradually changes.
  
  But I don't see any particular reason that our solar system needs to remain intact anyway.

  Nice plan, but if you managed to extinguish the sun, without getting rid of its mass, I believe it would spontaneously reignite. No, we need a better plan.

Holy shit I am laughing my ass off, I have always dreamed of destroying the sun, I have 6 inch rocket to do it and you need to listen up.
